The Saints U15s made it back to back wins with a hard fought victory at Stratford Town. Stratford flew out the blocks and put the saints under heavy pressure. Marcus in the saints goal pulled off a string of fine saves with Josh at centre half commanding his back four well. Stratford were caught on the counter for Harley to round the keeper and slot home. It was soon two as Cameron let fly from the edge of the box. Stratford continued to make chances but the saints stood resolute. Ben Osbourne made it three with a neat finish on the volley.

Stratford again started the second half well and got a deserved goal back. Stratford continued to pile the pressure on but again Southam defended well to make it 4-1. Olly heading in a Cameron corner. It looked game over but Stratford reacted well. Scoring straight from kickoff to make it 4-2. The next goal was crucial and the saints killed the game off with ten minutes to go. Ben Osbourne gettting his second and Ben Middleton making it six

Excellent game of football with both teams playing open attacking football. Stratford will look back on missed first half chances. Southam were resolute all game in their defending and clinical infront of goal to take the three points

Rich Kay Southam United U15 manager

A really good open, attacking game of football with lots of goalmouth action. The boys come up against a team that was a few levels above from last week and had to weather heavy pressure in periods. All game they defended resolutely and counter attacked well. The boys can take great heart from the fact that when they were under the pump they stuck together, defended well and showed excellent togetherness and team spirit. In football you have to come out the other side when under the cosh and grow into games. We certainly did that and we were clinical infront of goal. If you defend one box well and take your chances in the other you will win football matches at any level

Opposition MOM- Marcus
Brilliant shot stopping and decision making off his line throughout the game. A performance that went along way to the team getting the three points
